The Great Apple Hunt is on!

It has not been a brilliant year for apples – the crop is very patchy, though we have had a continuous flow of customers wanting to have their apples juiced even if it has not been as busy as 2013 was. click here.

So on October 16th we set out for Somerset with a trailer and our team of pickers from Weymouth and Dorchester and filled it with a huge haul of a fantastic variety of apples for juicing the following day at the Green Valley Farm Shop in Godmanstone. The bottles of pasteurised juice resulting from this will be sold in local shops to cover our costs. We rounded off our day out in style with a delicious tea at North Perrott Fruit Farm, needless to say accompanied by apple cake!
