16 of us spent 5 days in The Netherlands in early May 2017 (see this link) staying in tents and the chalets of a campsite just outside Lelystad (a new city on a new polder developed since the late 60’s). We managed to visit four National Parks, all very different from each other, and were able to see a tremendous variety of wildlife, particularly birds (117 species) many of them migrants on their way north to their breeding quarters.
