Today will be the first of several seed collecting days which we are hoping to arrange on the various sites we are helping to look after.
The field we will be working in is part of two well-established arable reversion projects which have been wonderfully successful and have a fabulous display of many species of wildflowers. Today we are going to collect yellow rattle seed for use on our other sites where we hope to reduce the competing grasses and encourage the wildflowers.
Please meet at 9am at the buildings shown on the map, to transfer into 4×4 vehicles to drive to the site up the rough farm tracks. Bring lunch and plenty to drink.
