Our EuCAN Somerset Volunteer Group has been helping to manage this reserve since 2015. It is renowned for its early summer flowers, particularly the cowslips and the Green-winged orchids (in their thousands!)
Today is an opportunity to take a look at the fauna and flora that we hope has benefitted from our hard work! It is said that Nightingales breed here but this has not been proved. They certainly sing there as they pass through on passage.

We shall meet at the entrance to the reserve at 10am, have a tour of the reserve then have a picnic lunch before we disperse.
