Silklake Quarry (Bumpers Lane development) weeding out invasives.

Silklake Quarry Conservation site, Portland

We have number of ‘weeding’ jobs to do here, clearing out the invasive species, particularly from the attenuation pond and the southern bank. And there is more at Broadcroft too if we get time.

Meet at the entrance to the site at 9am, with refreshments and lunch.  Loppers, bowsaw or pruning saw, secateurs, a light mattock and a trug or sack may be useful if you have them, but we can supply tools. It helps with planning (but not essential) if you let me know that you are aiming to join us.
