Silklake Quarry (Bumpers Lane development) weeding out invasives.

Silklake Quarry Conservation site, Portland

We shall be carrying out our annual weeding session at this wildlife site. The ‘desirable’ species of Portland vegetation seem to be doing very well with fewer weeds than in the past (we think….)

Meet at the entrance to the site at 9am, with refreshments and lunch.  Loppers, secateurs, a light mattock and a trug or sack may be useful if you have them, but we can supply tools. It helps with planning (but not essential) if you let me know that you are aiming to join us.
