Portland - Silklake Quarry and Bottom Coombe wildlife conservation sites

We have several areas of recently cleared ground here to spread with locally collected wildflower seed. And there is more at Bottom Coombe nearby too.

Meet at the entrance to the site at 8.30am, with refreshments and lunch – or walk to find us if you arrive later.  We can supply necessary tools. It helps with planning (but not essential) if you let me know that you are aiming to join us.

We cleared this area earlier this year and will be sowing seed here. Mainly vetch seed – ideal blue butterfly larval foodplants.
