Scrub cutting and other winter work at Alners Gorse Butterfly Reserve, Hazelbury Bryan.
Alners Gorse Butterfly Reserve
Today we will be finishing off our winter work at Alners Gorse, working on the bramble, willow and thorn in different parts of the reserve. This will be the last opportunity as the bird-nesting season is now upon us.
We shall aim to start at 8.30 but please walk down to find us if you arrive later. Bring lunch and hot drinks, and loppers and bowsaw if you have them. Brushcutter and chainsaw operators please bring PPE.
