Preparation of the electric fenced area on Rooksmoor for pony grazing.

Very shortly our team of conservation grazing ponies will be moved to Rooksmoor adjacent to Alners Gorse Butterfly Reserve to spend a number of weeks grazing some of the compartments there for our neighbours.

We need to do some clearance first to enable us to put up the fenceline, and the wooden posts need to be put in at intervals and the line completed with plastic posts as intermediates. If you would like to help us, we would much appreciate it – either by brushcutting or raking or by moving the fencing materials.

We shall be meeting at the entrance to Alners Gorse Butterfly Reserve at 8.30am, bring lunch and drinks ands wear thorn proof clothing. Please let me know if you can join us.
