This will be our first visit to Ham Hill – apart from the weekly drystone walling work.
We will be starting at the rangers’ office at 9am, aiming to begin work at 9.30am. Postcode: TA14 6UT or What3Words ///stumble.voltages.clear
We will be clearing a section of Iron Age rampart. The work is mainly clearing bramble islands, sycamore, ash and hazel coppice. We will have a fire to burn the arisings but will log up any suitable material. The ramparts are steep to work on so care will have to be taken.
Bring lunch and refreshments and gloves; bring secateurs, loppers and bowsaws if you have them, otherwise we can provide all the tools. Chainsaw and brushcutter operators need to bring appropriate PPE.
