Habitat management at Hardington Moor NNR - EuCAN Somerset Volunteers

Hardington Moor National Nature Reserve nr West Coker

The EuCAN Somerset Volunteers group will be working at Hardington Moor on at least three occasions during the coming winter.
Meet at 9am at the meeting point on the top road (closer to where we are working) . We are going to finish burning up the blackthorn in work area 1 and move across to work area 3 on the map to clear the encroaching bramble and thorn on the southern boundary of the top field.
We will provide the tools for the work, but please bring your own mug, hot drinks and snacks, your packed lunch and working gloves with you.
If you are a chainsaw or brushcutter user, you will need you own PPE and you should have attended a refresher course in the last five years.
