The EuCAN Somerset Volunteers group will be working at Hardington Moor on at least three occasions during the coming winter.
This will be the first of our group’s three visits to Hardington Moor this season – meet at 9am at the meeting point on the top road (closer to where we are working) . Our tasks will include cutting some of the blackthorn band on the N boundary of the upper field as part of the rotational management, reducing the rank grass and scrub on the margins of the fields, keeping the footpaths clear and probably much more!
The reserve looked magnificent during the flowering season just passed!
We will provide the tools for the work, but please bring your own mug, hot drinks and snacks, your packed lunch and working gloves with you.
If you are a chainsaw or brushcutter user, you will need you own PPE and you should have attended a refresher course in the last five years.
It helps if you let me know if you are planning to join us. My phone number in case you cannot find us. 07981 776767.
