Pollbridge Stables and smallholding near Bishops Caundle.
We shall be spending the day at Pollbridge stables and the smallholding, where there are a number of jobs to be done to get ready for the spring and summer – clearing up in the polytunnel, clearing the beds and putting dung on them, putting up the fence to keep the ponies off the riverbank, springcleaning the workshop, shifting logs etc etc.
We do not need to do the annual litter pick along the road as someone has done it last week – very good to see this!
We can get the woodburner going to heat the kettle and will warm some soup for lunch. The forecast still looks pretty good for next week!
We will provide the tools for the work, but please bring your own mug, your packed lunch and working gloves with you.
Meet at 9am in the yard. Park on the road verge please.
If you are a chainsaw or brushcutter user, you will need you own PPE and you should have attended a refresher course in the last five years.
