This week we will be continuing our programme of work at Broadcroft Quarry, working on scrub regrowth, clematis and bramble, particularly in the areas where the ponies have grazed off the grass and herbs this winter. We shall also be shifting the accumulated heaps of horse poo off the reserve and taking them to the nearby allotments to be used there.
The Dorset branch of Butterfly Conservation and EuCAN will be collaborating with the Dorset Wildlife Trust on regular tasks on a variety of sites on Portland.
Meet at 10am next to the recycling centre at Broadcroft Quarry. Bring loppers, bowsaw and secateurs if you have them – and your refreshments and lunch.
