Our routine management work on this site includes clearing the rank vegetation round the ponds and the entrance area of the reserve, cutting back the blackthorn and bramble round the field margins, and plenty of other maintenance tasks – clearing the paths, repairing fences, etc.

For the blackthorn work please bring safety glasses if you do not wear spectacles,.

Meet at 9.30am at the meeting point by the layby.
We will provide the other tools for the work, but please bring your own mug and refreshments, your packed lunch and working gloves with you.

If you are a chainsaw or brushcutter user, you will need your own PPE and you should have attended a refresher course in the last five years.
