New EuCAN volunteer group in Somerset

The Milverton Conservation Volunteer group has recently been established by EuCAN CiC in west Somerset to encourage and involve more  people and communities to be active in the conservation management of their local environment. Led by local residents Trevor Phelps and EuCAN Director, Gwil Wren, the group will  provide training and practical experience for local volunteers and other groups in nature conservation and sustainable land management. The group has recently been awarded £850 from County Councillor Tony McMahon’s local Health and Wellbeing Fund to purchase new tools for their conservation projects.
