Good News for our Cerne Valley Volunteer group!

The Co-op have chosen the EuCAN Cerne Valley Volunteer group as one of their local good causes this year and Co-op members can elect that 1% of the money spent on their shopping goes to it. The relevant Co-op stores are in Dorchester and Crossways but anyone within 15 miles of Cerne Abbas can choose us as their good cause. So far we have raised over £800! Could you help us by joining up and choosing us as your good cause?
We have been running this project for the last six years with funding from the Patsy Wood Trust and have made a great impact on the habitats in the Cerne Valley that we have worked on; we normally have 20 people in our group, drawn from around 40-50 regulars and a total of 180 have been involved in one way or another. This charity has now been wound up so we are very keen to find alternative sources of funding.
How you can help: if you are not a member of the Co-op, it costs £1 – join here  https://www.coop.co.uk/membership
For the section relating to your good cause, scroll down to ‘within 15 miles’ and then click on our project if Cerne Abbas is within 15m of your home.
If you are already a member, please choose us as your good cause.
Sadly it doesn’t seem to be possible to support our good cause if you are more than 15m away.
Please let me know if you need further information – and come and join us if you have the time!
