Nine members of the Somerset EuCAN group spent the day on April 18th working for the National Trust rangers and volunteers in the beautiful park adjacent to Montacute House near Yeovil. The main tasks were to improve the protected area round a magnificent ancient Sweet Chestnut tree and to repair the perimeter fence in the park to enable the National Trust and the tenant farmer to graze the pasture with cattle. The group will be continuing with the work in the park on April 25th.
