2015 Wildlife Holiday to La Brenne
Following the success of our visit to La Brenne in 2014, we arranged another wildlife holiday in this fabulous part of central France for June 2015. There were eight of us in our group travelling from Portsmouth on the overnight ferry to Caen then down to La Brenne in the minibus, stopping to see our friends in their idyllic farmhouse just south of Le Mans and enjoying delicious gazpacho soup and bread and French cheeses with them. We stayed in the Hotel Au Boeuf Couronné in the little village of Mézières-en-Brenne and during the week not only did we eat extremely well, we also had a feast of the delights of Brenne nature, birds, bats, fabulous wildflowers and butterflies.
